How to Have a Special
Valentine Day with a Special Someone
There are many ways to
celebrate a special occasion but Valentine Day is one of the
most romantic days of the year. Since many people celebrate it
as a special day, you may want to make plans in advance.
Many people go out to dinner for Valentine Day.
If you plan to eat out, you may want to make reservations
early. Instead of going out to dinner, the two of you could
plan a quiet evening at home and prepare the meal yourselves.
Each of you probably has one special dish that you are good at
making. One of you can make the main dish and the other
dessert.
Set the table and eat your dinner by
candlelight. When the meal is over, instead of doing the dishes
relax. Light some candles and dim the lights. Put on your
favorite music.
If Valentine Day is on a weekday, why not wait
until the weekend to celebrate. Plan a weekend getaway. If you love winter
sports such as skiing, you will probably still be able to
find a ski lodge open. If it is cold in your area, why not
take a weekend trip to one of the Caribbean Islands?
Whatever you decide, make it a place that you both will
enjoy.
Flowers and candy are generally the number one
gifts given on Valentine Day. Do something different. If your
special someone has a green thumb, give them a gift of seeds or
gardening tools. You can also create a coupon to go along with
the gift stating that it is good for a weekend of planting for
the two of you.
Give a gift of flowers to your loved one, male
or female. Do not buy a bouquet on Valentine Day and give it to
them. Instead, give them flowers each day until Valentine Day.
On February 1, give one flower, on February 2, give two
flowers, on February 3, three flowers, and so on. On
Valentine's Day there will be a vase or two full of beautiful
flowers.
Valentine Day is a day on which memories are
made. Make yours a memorable one.
