Valentine Day gifts can be
simple or extravagant. Your loved one will appreciate your
creativity and thoughtfulness in making this a memorable
occasion. Here are some Valentine Day gift ideas:
Charm Bracelet: Have the two
of you taken special trips or done some memorable things
together? Buy her a charm bracelet. You can start it with a
charm that represents something special to the two of you. You
can add to the bracelet each year and on other occasions or
just because. This is one of my favorite gifts. My husband gave
me a charm bracelet with a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket
to commemorate our first dinner. He added charms from the
various places we visited and to commemorate events such as our
10th anniversary. Whenever I wear it, people always want to
know what each charm symbolizes.
What to do with the Roses:
There are so many things you can do to make Valentine Day
special. If you usually buy a dozen red roses, include
something special in the bouquet or in each rose. If you decide
to give her a charm bracelet, you can enclose a charm in one of the roses.
Send a dozen to her at the office or at home. Buy an
additional one to put the charm in and give her to her
when you see her that day. The gift you include in the
rose can represent a special occasion or represent a
special experience or adventure the two of you shared.
For Chocoholics: If your loved
one loves chocolate, there are a number of varieties you can
choose from. There are special items in chocolate that you can
purchase such as chocolate roses and chocolate frames. Make it
extra special by putting a photo of the two of you together at
a special place in the chocolate frame.
Time Alone: If Valentine Day
is on a weekday, why not slip a message or tickets for
reservations at a special place you have visited for a weekend
in the future in your Valentine Day card. Or, on the weekend
pack a picnic basket and go to your favorite place for a great
afternoon. Take along a CD player and play your favorite songs.
If you have a nice backyard, you can always picnic in the
evening under the stars, weather permitting.
If it is too cold to go outside and you have a
fireplace, put a blanket on the floor and have the picnic in
front of the fireplace. No fireplace? No problem. What can be
more romantic than a candle lit picnic? Turn down the lights,
light some candles and arrange them around the room. Place a
tablecloth on the floor, put on some soft, romantic music, and
enjoy your evening.
To make Valentine Day memorable for your
sweetheart, you do not have to spend a lot of money. You can
make the day special by doing something special and
unexpected.
