Valentine Day is one of the
most romantic days of the year. It is second only to the day of
your wedding. Many couples get engaged or married on Valentine
Day. Some feel they must do something romantic on this day.
And, sometimes it is forced. Your feelings for your loved one
need to be natural and spontaneous.
Valentine Day usually falls on a workday. This
may create problems in trying to be spontaneous if you have had
a bad day at work. Most people go out to dinner on this day so
the waiting line at restaurants may be long. And, some people
feel that gifts on this day have to be extravangant and
expensive.
Romance should not be forced. Sometimes, it is
the simple things you do that make this the most memorable day
of the year for your loved one. Spending the day with the one
you love or making a special effort to carve out some quiet
time in the evening for just the two of you is
important.
If you feel you must give a gift, you make it
personal by creating something such as a handmade valentine day
card and enclosing a coupon you created for a special treat.
The treat can be a weekend away when the two of you have the
available time or it could be tickets to an upcoming concert or
show.
If your gift is given out of love and
thoughtfulness, no matter what it is (other than appliances or
tools) will be appreciated.
